I attained both my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and my Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, along with a certification in Marriage and Family Therapy, all from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. I have continued my training with full training in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective evidence-based treatment modality to treat PTSD and a variety of other issues. I am also Certified in the state of Florida as a Master‘s Level Certified Addiction Professional, with the knowledge and experience to treat addiction issues to not only substances, but also behavioral and process addictions. I am currently working to extend my knowledge and skill in trauma therapy and I am working on attaining my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level II, to improve my understanding of trauma treatment and gain additional skills to assist my clients in overcoming years of trauma-based challenges. As a therapist, I am always learning and growing to keep up with the latest tools and knowledge within the field. I am a Professional Member of both the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), as well.
